Kifesh 2.0
Kifesh 2.0 tells the story of Israel and Oumar’s quest for inner peace, as they confront the stereotypes that mark their identity. Rather than endure them, they choose to understand them and transform them into strength. The show dramatizes this process of acceptance and resilience.
Nexus - Finding a way
The word nexus comes from Latin and means ‘link’ or ‘connection’. Today, it generally refers to a central point or important connection between several elements, ideas or networks. It is a kind of interaction centre, where different things converge and interact.
With Nexus – Finding a way, Oumar Diallo creates a space where perceptions shift and where new connections to the world become possible. Performed by four dancers with backgrounds in street and club dance, the piece draws on hip-hop, house, krump, popping and breakdancing to explore what lies within us that transcends reality
Combining movement, text, music and lighting, this production creates a sensory, physical and mental experience, permeated by the imagination, the unconscious and the desire for freedom.
The piece invites us to empathise with states of mental fragility that are all too often stigmatised, recognising them as part of our shared humanity. At the crossroads of several artistic languages, Oumar Diallo weaves a form that is at once raw, poetic and reaching out to others.
