NEW COLLABORATION WITH FREESTYLE LAB

NEW COLLABORATION WITH FREESTYLE LAB

Since June 2023, Get Down has worked with the Brussels association Freestyle Lab on its press relations through the development and implementation of strategies and action plans (drafting of a press release and a press kit, organization of interviews, etc.) .

Freestyle Lab is the Brussels freestyle hip-hop dance association, founded by Anissa Brennet, which supports Belgian dancers since 2016, contributing to their development, professionalization and artistic visibility.

Freestyle Lab is aimed at freestyle hip-hop dancers who learn dancing in a self-taught manner, often practicing in public places, due to a lack of access to dance classes or rehearsal rooms. Therefore, the offered activities main objective is to create an ideal environment, promoting encounters, talks and the development of the Belgian hip-hop freestyle community.

All year long, the association organizes numerous events which bring together hundreds of freestyle dancers, of all styles, all ages, all levels and from all social backgrounds. The association organizes free weekly training sessions as well as workshops. On top of that, there are events such as battles (including the 4AS hip hop battle), summer camps in July and August (Freestyle Lab Summer Camps), and even jam evenings.

Currently, to its credit : 6 camps, 10 battles, 31 workshops, 18 jam sessions and more than fifteen events in collaboration with various partners.

Thanks to its large collective, the association and the participating artists share their talent and passion through freestyle performances during events, activities, workshops or initiations, the creation of tailor-made events and their diffusion via a large network and, through  their expertise as dancers and activists in the sector.
