New structural subsidies 2024-26

New structural subsidies 2024-26

We’re delighted to share some great news with you, which fills our hearts with joy and excitement!

Get Down – Dancers Management was recently honoured to receive grants from the Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles – Arts de la Scènes Service Danse, for the next three years. This mark of financial support represents an important milestone in our artistic journey and reinforces our commitment to the cultural development of street dance.

Moving from an annual grant to a service contract anchors the agency’s place in the Belgian cultural landscape and extends its prospects for expansion.

These funds will be invested strategically to support the artistic growth of our dancers, develop new creative projects and give them public exposure.

But what does this mean in concrete terms for Get Down

Obtaining this multi-year grant not only guarantees the sustainability of the agency’s activities, but also the development of its missions. To begin with, the funds released have made it possible to take on a part-time employee to consolidate the team, but also to anchor the structure more firmly in the Belgian and international cultural landscape.

Thanks to this new support, Get Down aims over the next three years to :

  • To continue to promote the singularity, commitment and quality of its artists’ work;
  • Continue to support the representation of urban dance and women choreographers on Belgian and international stages;
  • To develop more long-term relationships with the artists it supports;
  • To build a long-term distribution network around the creations that the agency supports;
  • To put more energy into exporting its artists and their work abroad, thanks in particular to the support of Wallonie Bruxelles International, which has also granted us a subsidy for 2024;

We would like to express our deep gratitude to Minister Bénédicte Linard, the FWB and culture.be for their confidence in our artistic vision. Their support will play a vital role in realising our ambitions, enabling our dance agency to thrive and further inspire our community through the magic of dance!
